How I got denied before I got accepted for the college Football Playoffs

When I was a freshman I began working with the Tennessee Football team as a digital creative intern. My boss at the time talked about how he had worked with the College Football Playoffs, and how they had an intern committee that ran the Socials for the week of the National Championship. So I set it as a dream of mine to work with them before my college Journey ended.

Little did I know the journey I was about to go on and the set backs I would face along the way. To work for the CFP you can't just apply, you have to be selected... They only select 5 photographers across the whole country every year. So sophomore year, I started asking for connections and trying to find out who to talk. to and who to impress. I found the lady who was in charge of selecting the community and reached out to her letting her know that I was interested and wanted to work with her. A few months later got a response and it wasn't what I wanted to hear, but I missed the window and wasn't selected.

Junior year comes around, and I worked in College sports for over 2 years now, and had worked a few internships with Nascar along the way. I thought I built an impressive resume. I stayed in contact and got a pretty decent talk with Katie that I thought meant I was going to maybe get selected for the CFP. Months go by and  no word back and before you know it was The CFP National Championship, and I never heard back.
Senior year, my last shot at it and I got a response at the start off fall camp from her from the past season. So i decided to give it one more go, because like Ted lasso said " I promised myself I would never quit anything in my life". and I told myself I would get there. I kept shooting everything in front of me.I got a dm from the head intern comity manager offering a spot to work the National Championship. God wasn't telling me no, he was just telling me not yet. So Don't Give up on your dreams.
